Vegas Wasn’t Too Nice To The King Elvis Presley On This Day In History

While browsing the web this morning, I came across this interesting fact about Elvis Presley. On April 23, 1956, Elvis Presley made his Las Vegas debut with Shecky Greene and the Freddy Martin Orchestra at the New Frontier Hotel. Needless to say, he wasn’t a hit. The reaction was so bad, that his 4-week booking ended after two weeks.

Moral of the Story: It ain’t easy to make it big no matter who you are. Never give up!
