This is a really hard one for us. We love all of the songs, but if we had to choose one, it’d be Eric Church’s Springsteen. The first time we heard Eric’s album Chief, this was immediately our favorite song. What about you? Which song do you hope wins?

She is also currently starring in the new CMT reality series “Southern Nights.”
Raised in Cordova, Tenn., the blue-eyed blonde Grissom considers herself to be a true southern belle who values and respects the traditions of the South. A huge sports fan, Devin spends her Saturdays in the fall watching SEC football games and hopes to pursue a public relations career in professional sports.

Bubba has moved on with the next chapter of his life, encouraged by a major publishing company to sit down and write a book about his thoughts on the cowboy life. “The Cowboy Code: How to Treat a Lady.” The book will feature manly advice to the thousands of ladies who wrote with questions and inspired Thompson to give advice on how to get a man to cowboy up and treat them with the respect they deserve.

TasteofCountry.com is reporting that in the most recent issue of Rolling Stone magazine, Eric Church questions Blake Shelton’s decision to be a judge on The Voice. Specifically, Church said,
“Honestly, if Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green f—ing turn around in a red chair, you got a deal?” he says, referring to how winners their start in the business. “That’s crazy. I don’t know what would make an artist do that. You’re not an artist.”
Obviously, comments like that aren’t going over too well with Blake or those who got their start through shows like American Idol, Nashville Star, etc. One of those who took exception to his comments was Mrs. Shelton herself. Miranda, who was a contestant on Nashville Star and who took Church out on tour with her in 2012, tweeted:
“Thanks Eric Church for saying I’m not a real artist. Or @kelly_clarkson, @carrieunderwood & @KeithUrban. You’re welcome for the tour in 2010.”

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Thursday, December 1, 2011) — EMI Records Nashville’s Eric Church’s chart-topping album, CHIEF, which was released on July 26, 2011 and features his latest Top 10 and climbing single, “Drink In My Hand,” as well as the Top 15 “Homeboy,” has earned Church his first GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album at the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards.
“The GRAMMYs are the ultimate honor for any recording artist. It’s very cool that they recognized CHIEF in what I feel is the most coveted category,” shares Church. “I got into the music business because of great records and the feelings they imparted on my heart. I’ve poured everything I am into making those kinds of albums, and I am very thankful for this nod.”
Produced by Jay Joyce, CHIEF was a labor of love for Church who secluded himself in a cabin in his home state of North Carolina for over a month to write the record with notable hit-makers Casey Beathard, Luke Laird, Jeff Hyde and more. The album was recorded and mixed by Joyce in his Nashville, Tennessee studio.
Following rave reviews from Rolling Stone, PEOPLE Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, and more, it appears The Boston Globe’s prediction rings truest of all, “Every good artist reaches a watershed moment and Eric Church has arrived at his with ‘Chief’.”
Church recently announced his first headlining tour – The Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour – scheduled to hit 50 markets beginning with Fort Smith, Arkansas on January 19.
For more information, please visit www.ericchurch.com. The 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards will air on CBS on February 12, 2012 at 8/7 p.m. CT.

One of country music’s most dynamic entertainers is now working on pleasing an entirely new audience. Eric Church and wife Katherine are proud to welcome their first child—Boone McCoy Church.
Boone was born on Monday, October 3 at Centennial Women’s Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee at 8:35 a.m. CT and weighed 7 lbs. and 11 oz.
“Everybody always tells you what an awesome and unique experience being a parent is. Words can never do the feeling justice. I am very thankful and blessed to have a healthy and happy baby boy and baby mama,” shares Eric.
Although Church has been touring extensively throughout 2011, he does have plans to reduce the number of his performances throughout the remainder of the year to enjoy time with his family. The last time Church took time away from the road was to write his chart-topping third studio album, CHIEF. However, Church does expect an entirely new set of inspirations to come from his time at home.
“It will be interesting to see how this new chapter in our life manifests itself musically,” Eric adds. “I’ve always made music that was representative of real life. Life doesn’t get more real than having a newborn at home.”
The Church family will be releasing photos in the coming weeks of the latest addition to their family. Stay tuned to www.ericchurch.com for more details.
Eric Church’s third studio album, Chief, was released today by Capitol Nashville. Eric’s first single from the album, Homeboy is steadily moving up the country charts. As of today, it’s sitting at #13 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. Amazon has the album on sale right now for only $7.99. We’ve already sampled the entire CD, and it’s well worth the money. Enjoy!
