Are you addicted to Pinterest? If you’re like us, once you start pinning, it’s very, very hard to stop. We did a little research last night to find out which country music superstars are also addicted to Pinterest. Surprisingly, the number is very small considering how many use Facebook and Twitter on a regular basis (although, as hectic as their lives are, it’s no surprise they don’t have time for another time-consuming social media addiction…).
With that being said, here’s a look at who we’ve found so far (if you know of other official accounts, please let us know):
Lady Antebellum: http://pinterest.com/ladyantebellum – Lady A. are pretty active… That’s not surprising considering how much they use Social Media to keep their fans in the loop on a daily basis. As of today, they have over 12,800 followers and 553 pins including personal pics like this one of Hillary and her Goldendoodle Baker:
Martina McBride: http://pinterest.com/MartinaMcBride – Martina’s account is pretty active, and at the time of this post, she’s only three followers away from 10,000. If you’re on Pinterest and not following her, let’s help push her over the 10,000 mark today. What I like about Martina’s board is it’s not a Martina McBride shrine, but instead features pins of things Martina likes such as this one of a ‘fine’ bottle of Boone’s Farm Strawberry Hill wine (brought back memories of lawn parties at Alabama…)
Sara Evans: http://pinterest.com/saraevansmusic/ – According to Sara’s activity, it’s been a few weeks since she last did anything, but she does have over 3,000 followers and is following 25. On Sara’s board, you’ll find unique pins like this one of Sara and Luke Bryan at CMT Crossroads.
Little Big Town: http://pinterest.com/littlebigtown/ – It’s been about a month since they were active on the site, but there are over 300 pins to check out like the one below of LBT backstage at Jimmy Fallon. Currently, they’re following over 100, and over 2,000 are following them.
Keith Urban: http://pinterest.com/keithurban – Keith’s account doesn’t appear to be that active, but there are over 300 pins to check out, and he’s got over 6,900 followers as of today. Plus, you’ll get to see pics like the one below of Keith using the ‘Old Booth’ app. Yikes!
Sarah Darling: http://pinterest.com/darlingmusic/ – I can personally vouch for Sarah’s board as we’ve talked back and forth a number of times. Sarah’s very active on the site, and admirably, her board doesn’t just feature pictures and videos of herself. However, as a big fan of Sarah, I’m thankful she is pinning some personal photos of herself like the one below. Pretty cool photo, huh?
Edens Edge: http://pinterest.com/edensedge – They have a little over 300 followers and about 200 pins to check out. It’s been about four weeks since they were active, so I’m not sure how much they’re using the account, but they do have some pretty interesting pics as evidenced below…
Trisha Yearwood: http://pinterest.com/trishayearwood – Trisha has over 6,000 followers and was fairly active about a month ago. Like Martina McBride, Trisha’s account appears to be about stuff she cares about, and not really about her musical career. Although, it is interesting to note that Linda Ronstandt is apparently her biggest musical inspiration:
Rascal Flatts: http://pinterest.com/therascalflatts/ – It’s been over nine weeks since the boys had any activity on the site, but there are some unique photos on their board like the one below of Joe Don’s dog Pippa sitting on Tucker’s little sleeping head…
Mary Sarah: http://pinterest.com/marysarahmusic/ – Mary Sarah is an up-and-coming singer-songwriter living in Nashville by way of Texas. If you’re not familiar with her, check out our interview with her last year. Mary’s pretty active on Pinterest, and she has some cool pics to browse like the one below with The Oak Ridge Boys’ Joe Bonsall.
Oh, and last, but not least… The Country Site: http://pinterest.com/todayscountry – We’re about as active as you can get. With 130 boards and over 2,800 pins and counting, we’re definitely hooked, and we love it! If you’re on Pinterest, please check out our board and follow us if you’d like. Thanks and happy pinning!
I found this photo today on Pinterest. It was pinned from the forum on Keith Urban’s website, so I believe it’s authentic. It’s Keith holding his daughter Sunday’s hand. How cool is this? Love it.
