Country Music Superstars On Pinterest

Are you addicted to Pinterest? If you’re like us, once you start pinning, it’s very, very hard to stop. We did a little research last night to find out which country music superstars are also addicted to Pinterest. Surprisingly, the number is very small considering how many use Facebook and Twitter on a regular basis (although, as hectic as their lives are, it’s no surprise they don’t have time for another time-consuming social media addiction…).

With that being said, here’s a look at who we’ve found so far (if you know of other official accounts, please let us know):

Lady Antebellum: – Lady A. are pretty active…  That’s not surprising considering how much they use Social Media to keep their fans in the loop on a daily basis. As of today, they have over 12,800 followers and 553 pins including personal pics like this one of Hillary and her Goldendoodle Baker:

Martina McBride: – Martina’s account is pretty active, and at the time of this post, she’s only three followers away from 10,000. If you’re on Pinterest and not following her, let’s help push her over the 10,000 mark today. What I like about Martina’s board is it’s not a Martina McBride shrine, but instead features pins of things Martina likes such as this one of a ‘fine’ bottle of Boone’s Farm Strawberry Hill wine (brought back memories of lawn parties at Alabama…)

Sara Evans: – According to Sara’s activity, it’s been a few weeks since she last did anything, but she does have over 3,000 followers and is following 25. On Sara’s board, you’ll find unique pins like this one of Sara and Luke Bryan at CMT Crossroads.

Little Big Town: – It’s been about a month since they were active on the site, but there are over 300 pins to check out like the one below of LBT backstage at Jimmy Fallon. Currently, they’re following over 100, and over 2,000 are following them.

Keith Urban: – Keith’s account doesn’t appear to be that active, but there are over 300 pins to check out, and he’s got over 6,900 followers as of today. Plus, you’ll get to see pics like the one below of Keith using the ‘Old Booth’ app. Yikes!

Sarah Darling: – I can personally vouch for Sarah’s board as we’ve talked back and forth a number of times. Sarah’s very active on the site, and admirably, her board doesn’t just feature pictures and videos of herself. However, as a big fan of Sarah, I’m thankful she is pinning some personal photos of herself like the one below. Pretty cool photo, huh?

Edens Edge: – They have a little over 300 followers and about 200 pins to check out. It’s been about four weeks since they were active, so I’m not sure how much they’re using the account, but they do have some pretty interesting pics as evidenced below…

Trisha Yearwood: – Trisha has over 6,000 followers and was fairly active about a month ago. Like Martina McBride, Trisha’s account appears to be about stuff she cares about, and not really about her musical career. Although, it is interesting to note that Linda Ronstandt is apparently her biggest musical inspiration:

Rascal Flatts: – It’s been over nine weeks since the boys had any activity on the site, but there are some unique photos on their board like the one below of Joe Don’s dog Pippa sitting on Tucker’s little sleeping head…

Source: via Rascal on Pinterest

Mary Sarah: – Mary Sarah is an up-and-coming singer-songwriter living in Nashville by way of Texas. If you’re not familiar with her, check out our interview with her last year. Mary’s pretty active on Pinterest, and she has some cool pics to browse like the one below with The Oak Ridge Boys’ Joe Bonsall.

Oh, and last, but not least…  The Country Site: – We’re about as active as you can get.  With 130 boards and over 2,800 pins and counting, we’re definitely hooked, and we love it!  If you’re on Pinterest, please check out our board and follow us if you’d like.  Thanks and happy pinning!

Martina McBride’s ‘The Joy of Christmas’ Tour Kicks Off November 23, 2012

Highlights for Holiday Season Include “The Thanksgiving Day Parade On CBS,” New Music Video, Special Olympics Album and “CMA Country Christmas” Special on ABC

(Nashville, Tennessee…) – The favorite time of year for Martina McBride is Christmas, and the country superstar will be sharing the holidays with fans old and new this year with appearances in two television specials, a new music video, a cut on the popular A Very Special Christmas album and her 16-city “The Joy of Christmas” Tour.

The new tour kicks off at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre on Friday, November 23, 2012 and wraps up December 21 in Chicago. Backed by a 12-piece band, complete with a string section, Martina brings her love of the holidays to intimate theaters. A video screen depicting wintery street scenes, busy shoppers, snowy mountains and more, tastefully complements traditional and contemporary holiday classics. Multiple wardrobe changes, a duet with “The King,” local celebs reciting “The Grinch,” and a home video of the McBride’s on Christmas morning are guaranteed to put fans in the Christmas spirit.

“My goal is to put everyone in the Christmas spirit by bringing every aspect of Christmas to life on stage,” said Martina during her tour rehearsal. “We perform everything from pop classics like ‘Let it Snow’ and ‘I’ll Be Home For Christmas’ to the beautiful hymns such as ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’ and ‘O Holy Night.’ One of the parts I’m most looking forward to is when I go into the audience to chat with fans. It’s spontaneous and fun, because you never know what’s going to happen! I love Christmas, and I’ve put together a show that is powerful and full of emotion, as well as fun for the whole family. I would love for this show to become a holiday tradition for everyone.”

On Thanksgiving Day this week, The GRAMMY® Award winner will be performing on the 52nd Annual “The Thanksgiving Day Parade On CBS,” which will air live from New York City on the CBS Television Network from 9:00am until noon ET. Fans can see some of Martina’s biggest hits performed at at 9:15am, 10:45am and 11:45am ET.

Main Street in historic Franklin, Tennessee was transformed into a winter wonderland recently for the production of Martina’s “Please Come Home for Christmas” music video. Lights, decorations, Christmas trees and even an artificial snow-making machine were brought in for the shoot, which also included appearances by several Special Olympians. The clip was directed by Roman White and will begin airing later this month. The cut is one of the highlights on the 25th anniversary of the A Very Special Christmas holiday music series, benefiting Special Olympics.

A Very Special Christmas 25th Anniversary and A Very Special Christmas: Bringing Peace On Earth are available for download on iTunes and at retailers nationwide, including Best Buy, Walmart, Target and more. To learn more about A Very Special Christmas, visit

ABC’s “CMA Country Christmas” network television special taped in Nashville earlier this month, and one of the highlights of the show was Martina’s beautiful rendition of “Oh Come All Ye Faithful.” The popular two-hour show will air will air Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 9:00pm ET and repeat Saturday, December 22 and Sunday, December 23.

A three-time Academy of Country Music “Top Female Vocalist” award winner, four-time Country Music Association “Female Vocalist of the Year” and GRAMMY®-winning recording artist, Martina McBride has sold more than 18 million albums and garnered numerous #1 hits throughout her career. She was recently announced as the special guest on George Strait’s final tour, The Cowboy Rides Away Tour, which begins January 18, 2013 in Lubbock, Texas.

Martina McBride’s Appearance On Chelsea Lately

Taste of Country put together 10 Things You Didn’t Know About Martina McBride. You can check out all ten things on this page on their site.

One of the 10 was that fact that she curses like a sailor. Like a lot of people, this is something I didn’t believe until I saw her appearance a couple of years ago on the Chelsea Lately show. As you’ll see about halfway through the interview, she can definitely curse like a sailor when she wants to…
