Hometown Team Celebrates Sibling Trio With Custom Bobbleheads
Nashville, TN – (July 2, 2012) – Republic Nashville’s The Band Perry, partnered with their hometown baseball team – Greeneville Astros – on Thursday evening (6/28) to thank those who made donations to the United Way. The sibling trio is always the first to step up to the plate to support their beloved hometown of Greeneville, TN, and were honored to perform a special acoustic concert for the 200 VIP guests. The private event took place just before the Greeneville Astros baseball game.
“We love small towns and we especially love OUR small town. Performing for our friends and neighbors and raising money for United Way at the same time meant a lot to us,” says Kimberly Perry.
The team celebrated The Band Perry’s appearance and showed additional support for the non-profit by creating custom bobbleheads for the game. That night, all patrons received the collectables and $1 of every ticket sold benefited United Way. http://www.unitedway.org/
After their performance, Kimberly, Reid and Neil threw the first pitch of the game and had the opportunity to visit with The Astros’ General Manager David Lane and Owner Scott Niswonger.
“It was an honor to spend time with Mr. Niswonger and Mr. Lane and be a part of such a special evening in the community,” says Reid Perry.
“We were excited about throwing out the first pitch at the game! We love sports and even though we are baseball rookies we had a blast on the field with the professionals,” says Neil Perry.
Following the game, TBP headed back to the bus for more shows as special guests on Brad Paisley’s tour. Currently they are also nominated for a TEEN CHOICE award for Choice Country Group and fans can cast their vote right now at http://teenchoiceawards.com/.

Benefits American Cancer Society & Honors The Life Of Former Greene Co. Teacher
Nashville, TN– (Tuesday, April, 10 2012) Five hundred and ninety-six students at Doak Elementary School in Greeneville, TN knew they were helping others by raising funds and awareness for the Greene County Relay for Life’s cancer initiatives but they had no idea that their generosity would actually put them in front of one of the hottest trios in Country music — The Band Perry! The siblings, who are local celebrities, initially offered students an autographed photo as an incentive for their efforts, then decided making a visit would be a better way to celebrate.
Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry of Republic Nashville’s The Band Perry surprised the students last Thursday morning, rewarding them for their dedication to the annual community fundraiser, which benefits the American Cancer Society.
Second grader Makeelee Nelson, who had seen the band in concert but had never met the them, was moved beyond words before finally blurting out, “I’m so gonna faint!”
The school’s support of ACS is a way to honor the work and dedication of the late teacher Lisa White, a cancer victim who was a long-time supporter of the Greene County Relay for Life. Each year since White’s passing, the Doak School has held a fundraising campaign, and last year, raised more then $34,000. This year’s goal is $35,000 and The Band Perry’s visit and autograph session was just one of the ways that the students and faculty of Doak School are trying to meet that goal.
The Grammy-nominated group said they were thrilled to be a part of this event, especially since funds were going to the American Cancer Society.
Visiting Doak, where her friend taught school, was very special and moving to Kimberly.
“Cancer is something that has touched our lives,” Kimberly Perry said. “We had an aunt who passed away from cancer, and Lisa White was a dear friend of ours. To honor those ladies’ lives in this way — and to raise some money for the American Cancer Society — is something we like being a part of.”
The siblings enjoyed their brief stay at home in the Tennessee mountains during a moment’s break in their busy touring and performance schedule. In addition to being part of Brad Paisley’s VIRTUAL REALITY TOUR, 2012 has seen the band headlining many of their own shows, including performances across the pond in London and Dublin.
Tonight, The Band Perry will join an A-list group of performers at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville during All for the Hall, a fundraising concert benefiting the Country Music Hall of Fame. They will appear on ACM PRESENTS: Lionel Richie and Friends – In Concert, this Friday (April 13) on CBS, beginning at 9PM ET/PT.
GAC NIGHTS -ACM PRESENTS LIONEL RICHIE & FRIENDS, previewing the special, will broadcast on Wednesday (April 11) on GAC (Great American Country) at 9PM ET.
The group’s latest single, “Postcard From Paris,” is the band’s fifth single from their Platinum-certified, self-titled, debut album.

Nashville, TN (August 26, 2011) – In just 20 minutes today, all 2,300 tickets to The Band Perry’s first headlining show in Nashville, TN at the Ryman Auditorium on February 20, 2012 were sold out. The immediate response to the upcoming show echoes the overwhelming welcome the sibling trio has received by Country music fans nationwide since their debut album, THE BAND PERRY, was released in October 2010.
In today’s edition of The Tennessean, Kimberly Perry – lead vocalist for the trio that also includes brothers Reid and Neil – spoke emotionally about headlining the historic venue in a town that has already given them so much support. “It’s an amazing thing. So much of our creative efforts have come inside Nashville … and it’s the center of our creativity. We so much revere that (Ryman) stage. And I feel like there’s an amazing spirit about that place.”
While TBP has previously graced the Ryman stage during the Grand Ole Opry and other multi-artist events, this will be their debut as headliners on this revered stage.
With their brand-new romantic ballad, “All Your Life” just now arriving on the airwaves and shaping up to be their next big hit, tickets to the February date will surely be one of Nashville’s most sought after Valentine’s Day gifts.
